Internet Connection Troubleshooting Guide
Follow these steps when your facility is experiencing internet connectivity issues.
Basic Troubleshooting
- Check if other computers can access the internet
- Verify if the network cable is connected properly (if using wired connection)
- Check if WiFi is enabled and connected to the correct network (if using wireless)
- Restart your computer
Router Troubleshooting
- Locate your facility's router (usually in the server room or admin office)
- Check if the power and internet lights are on
- Power cycle the router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in
- Wait 2-3 minutes for the router to fully restart
When to Contact Support
If the above steps don't resolve the issue:
- Check with your facility manager if there's a known outage
- Contact the IT support desk if the issue persists
- Be prepared to provide your facility name, router location, and when the problem started
